David Gordon is an internationally recognized, award-winning communications strategist and corporate advisor with a proven track record of building, protecting, and amplifying corporate reputations. His expertise in navigating complex global markets and aligning strategic communications with business objectives has driven measurable impact for companies worldwide.
As Principal Advisor of DG Advisory Group, David provides high-stakes counsel to multinational organizations facing intense scrutiny and market shifts. Previously, as Chief Corporate Communication Officer for PharmaCielo Ltd., he played a key role in positioning the company as a global leader in the medical cannabis industry, leading investor, public, and government relations across Canada and Colombia.
Prior to PharmaCielo, David was Managing Partner at Cohn & Wolfe Canada, where he executed high-impact communication strategies for Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders. His early career included roles in international trade with the Korean Trade Commission and public policy as Senior Advisor to the Attorney General of Ontario, experiences that sharpened his expertise in regulatory affairs and corporate communications under pressure.
A recognized industry leader, David is the former Chair of the Canadian Council of Public Relations Firms (CCPRF) and a certified volunteer with Catalyste+, supporting global economic development. He has served on the Advisory Board of Regennabis, providing ESG guidance to the global cannabis industry, and is currently a Mentor Board member at Foresight Canada, supporting cleantech innovation. He is also an ICD.D-certified member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and has completed the Innovation Governance Program (iGP).
David holds degrees from York University (BA), McMaster University (MA), and the University of Toronto (MBA). His leadership in communications has been recognized with international awards for excellence in strategic program delivery.
