David Gordon

David Gordon is an internationally recognized, award-winning communications strategist and corporate advisor who helps businesses build, protect, and amplify their reputations. With a proven ability to navigate complex global markets, he aligns strategic communications with business objectives, turning challenges into opportunities and driving measurable impact.

As Principal Advisor of DG Advisory Group, Mr. Gordon provides high-stakes counsel to multinational organizations facing intense scrutiny and market shifts. Previously, as Chief Corporate Communication Officer for PharmaCielo Ltd., he was instrumental in positioning the company as a global leader in the medical cannabis industry, leading investor, public, and government relations across Canada and Colombia.

Before PharmaCielo, Mr. Gordon was Managing Partner of Cohn & Wolfe Canada, where he built and executed high-impact communication strategies for Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders. He started his career in international trade with the Korean Trade Commission before moving into public policy, serving as Senior Advisor to the Attorney General of Ontario and Minister Responsible for Native Affairs—experience that sharpened his expertise in regulatory affairs and corporate communications under pressure.

A recognized industry leader, Mr. Gordon is the former Chair of the Canadian Council of Public Relations Firms (CCPRF) and a certified volunteer with Catalyste+, supporting global economic development. He has served on the Advisory Board of Regennabis, providing ESG guidance to the global cannabis industry, and is currently a Mentor Board member at Foresight Canada, supporting cleantech innovation. He is an ICD.D-certified member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and has studied under the Innovation Governance Program (iGP).

Mr. Gordon holds degrees from York University (BA), McMaster University (MA), and the University of Toronto (MBA). His leadership in communications has been recognized with international awards for excellence in strategic program delivery.
